Seripe Mighty Fingers wins 3rd edition of Bole District U-15 Boys Volleyball Gala.

Seripe Mighty Fingers Volleyball Boys team has emerged champions of the 3rd edition of the quarterly U-15 Volleyball Gala for community based teams.

Mandari which was hoping to win the gala for the third consecutive time had the shock of their lives when they faced the Mighty Fingers in the finals.

The Mighty Fingers dazzled all and sundry around the arena in Seripe with their mastery class performance as they outclassed the defending champions by 2 sets to zero.

Five boys’ teams from Seripe, Maluwe, Mandari, Dabouyiri and Simarayiri participated in the one day tournament.

In thier first matches the Seripe team defeated their counterparts from Simarayiri by 2 sets to one whiles Madari eased pass Maluwe by 2 sets to nothing.

Seripe then beat stubborn Dabouyiri 2-1 to make it to the final. Mandari on the other hand won a tough match against the surprised team from Simarayiri to book thier ticket to the finals.

The Dabouyiri Boys’ team took the third position after beating Simarayiri in their third and fourth play off.

In the girls category, unstoppable Simarayiri defended their trophy by once again beating Mandari girls 2-1 in thier third consecutive time.

Seripe girls finished third after making light work of Maluwe girls.

Many guests turned up to support the organizers of the tournament including the Seripewura and his elders, sports masters from Tamale and Bamboi as well as representatives of Bole Volleyball legends and Savannah Volleyball Association were all present.

The 4th edition will be hosted by Mandari in July.
