The Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salisu Be-Awuribi embarks on a working visit to Bole Municipality on 24th February 2025.

Speaking to the media after the tour, Hon Salisu Be-Awuribi stated that the main reason why they are in Bole is to deal with the issues of security and the Regional Security is jointly holding meeting with the District Security Committee and it is this joint force that they have deployed within the Bole township.

The Regional Minister, mentioned, the had been issues of an identified killing of people in the Bole township and it started on the first of April 2024 and about five to six of them did happened last year and in February this year alone we’ve had two similar occurrences of such a situation and this has risen a lot of security concerns and we cannot sit by and allow such activities to be going in the Bole Municipality and more especially in the Bole township.

He noted that the reason they organized an emergency security committee meeting of the region and the Municipality and so we went to the traditional authority to seek their audience and to actually seek for their collaboration in this enterprise.

“We equally gone to the various crime scenes for which this activities where committed and we’ve gotta place given us a report as to how the issues did happened He said”.

The Minister added that it is true that they have not been able to put in place a finger as to the exact perpetuater of the said offenses or the motive behind the said perpetuation which is actually happening within.

So the Regional Security architecture and the Municipal architecture are going to put some strategies in place and so what he will call is that is the assistance of our own people on the ground and the collaborative effort of all and sandry to be able to come up with the perpetrators and deal decisively with them.

“Anyone who is either contemplating or engage in this enterprise, the person can only run but can’t hide, so the heighten security intelligence that we are going to deployed and then the type of surveillance we are going to put in place no way that such group of people can go an escape he said.”

The Mankumawura speaking on behalf of the Bolewura, welcome the Regional Minister and his entourage to his palace and also use the opportunity to congratulate the Minister for his appointment as the Regional Minister.

“This appointment you have gotten from H.E John Mahama is a good will for the whole of Savannah and mostly the people of Bole he said.”

Yiram Bolewura noted that it’s been a sleepless night for the people of Bole and it’s environs and so, I Bole has condemned that act and is a sleepless night for me myself and so am very happy that since the Minister assumed office he paid me a courtesy call and to hear from the good people of Bole.

So me and my sub-chiefs and queen mothers are in full support of you to restore peace and harmony in the Bole township.
