The National Democratic Congress in the Savannah Region through their communication bureau has indicated the willingness of the party in supporting the newly pronounced Yagbonwura Yiram Amobanefe Borenyi l, to succeed in the administration of the Gonja kingdom in his reign.
“On behalf of the NDC, the entire Savanna Region membership and on my own behalf, I write to therefore express a warm felicitations to you on your attainment of the apex of the Gonja kingship hierarchy”, a press statement issued by the party’s Communication Officer, stated.
We are especially gratified that your ascension has further proven the resilience of the Gonja Kingdom’s time tested succession plan, dating back centuries of no interruption,the statement added.
The statement assured Yiram Nbema Amobanefe Borenyi I of the fullest support, including the respect and non interference of the Gonja tradition chieftaincy processes, as we have always done to his predecessors.
The National Democratic Congress has undoubtedly been proud of its achievements across the breath and length of the Gonja kingdom, ranging from construction of Schools, hospitals, roads, electrification, human resource development, factories etc. for the uplifting of quality life in Gonjaland and Ghana as a whole.
Yiram is therefore rest assured of the continuation of this stands for his Kingdom’s fair share of the national cake when H.E John Dramani Mahama, a son of the soil and also the presumptive flag bearer of the NDC, becomes the President of the republic of Ghana on 7th January, 2025.
“While hoping this recognition inspires you to more selfless service to mankind, your people and kingdom, it’s our prayer that almighty God continue to guide, protect and prosper you in your every endeavour at this new challenge”, the statement furthered.
It adds that , the NDC, are readly available to support in whatever form to see to your successful coronation to the highest seat of Gonjas at the appointed date.
Yiram Amobanefe Borenyi I, the sitting Paramount Chief of Tuluwe, was on Monday February 26,2023 , confirmed by the kingmakers of the Gonjaland state as the new Yagbonwura of the Gonja state—a successor to Yagbonwura Sulemana Tuntumba Boresa l.
