Residents of Bole advised to observe Covid-19 protocols to prevent new infections.

The Bole District Director of Health, Mr David Bakuri, has called on the citizenry, to continue the strict adherence of all the preventive etiquette of covid-19 to prevent the spread of the new wave of infections.

The Director said this on Monday, February 08, 2021, during Yagbon Radio morning show with Abdul Fataw Diwura.

Reacting to allegations of a recorded case of covid-19 in the District, Mr Bakuri confirmed that last year 2020 Bole recorded two cases but did not disclose it because he didnt want panic among the people of Bole.

However there was a meeting with stakeholders where it was disclosed.

Mr Bakuri also explained that the said affected person was treated and after treatment one cannot infect another with the disease.

The Director however, didn’t deny nor confirm any new case in the District but said at the appropriate time he will come out with the right information.

Mr. David Bakuri admonished the people of Bole to observe the protocols irrespective of recorded cases or not.

He also lamented that most of the hand washing stationed at some advantage points are not operational.

He said his observance confirmed that there are no water in the Veronica bucket which is actually a worrying situation.

Explaining that the new variant is very dangerous and causing a lot of havoc.

He urge all to strictly follow the safety precautions as the new variant is very dangerous.
