Bolewura Safo Kutugefwso has said the pressure from the residents regarding the MCE nominee for Bole District should be looked again by president Mahama .

The paramount chief made this remarks at his Palace during a stakeholder engagement to address ongoing disagreement over appointment of Mr Abdulai Muhammud as MCE for Bole.

Addressing the Arise Bole youth, executives of Gonja Land Youth Association national and the regional and constituency executives of the NDC Bole, he said the residents said they don’t know the said young man and hence can’t be their MCE.

Stating his position on the matter stated that he is not taking side on the matter but however he is a leader who has to listen his people.

Secondly the youth are the backbone of every community so they have taken a position which I’m of the opinion that the president should reconsider the opposition and do the needful.

Bolewura said his engagement with the leadership GLYA. He told them to engage the stakeholders on the subject matter and deduce from their reaction.

So with the current situation he thinks the leadership should go back and inform the president on what they have seen.

The National president of GLYA Mr Alhassan Darison call on the youth exercise restrain in all what has happen.

The Bole kings man stated Bole is all over the news regarding this matter that they don’t want the nominee stating reasons which we as GLYA is not with different opinion .

However, Mr Darison said when an appointment of such is made, the residents by law has the right to protest but can’t have power to change the appointee unless a constitutional procedure or the appointor.

He added that Bole is a diverse community with a different group of people so when you are dealing with issues of that nature, it must be handled with care .

In any case we cannot fight the government on any matter. so if we don’t handle this well it ‘ll give us a bad name.

So is as a result of this observation that the association decided to mediate in this situation in order to bring an amicable solution .

Addressing the chief and people of Bole at the Bolewura’s palace the Savannah Regional chairman of the NDC Mr Seidu Imoro said his visit was to listen to sentiments of the youth on the issue.

The regional chairman said with the outcome of the mediation he will get to speak to the president for a response.

He took the opportunity to apologize for intervening late on the matter saying it was as a results of other equally important activities.

Alhaji Seidu Imoro admonished the leadership of Bole to remain calm and as he will surely consult the president and get back to the youth.
