The President of the Republic of Ghana HE. Nana Akufo-Addo has on Thursday 25th August 2022, inspected the ongoing Bunjai-Yapei-Fufulso road in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

Speaking at a short ceremony at Yapei the President mentioned that he’s always happy to be in the Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency because the first Project that his Government executed when he came into office was a water Project in Yapei.

The President said every year it’s his practice to visit each of the sixteen Regions(16)to see things for himself the performance of Government Projects and initiatives in the various Regions which are juicy.

Nana Akufu-Addo said again receiving reports and seeing things for yourself with your own eyes are not the same so i prefer to come and see for myself b how things are going and in so doing to get the opportunity to also listen to concerns of the chiefs and people of the area so I can adjust Government Programs and initiatives to take care of these concerns.

The President said the concerns the people of Yapei- Kusawgu will see the green light.

The Deputy Roads and Highways Minister Mr. Steven Jalula said 34 roads have been completed within the Savannah Region 135 roads ongoing in the Savannah Region and Yapei- Kusawgu Constituency has not been left out, Seven (7) Projects are ongoing in the Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency and that excludes the Bunjai-Fufulso road which the President is here to inspect.

The Bunjai-Fufulso is 75kms was awarded to MISYES MAWUMS construction Limited.

Mr President 34kms of the roads has been primerceld and out of this 24 has been sealed and now between Fufulso and the other side of Salaga to gap the 29kms and a bridge bridge over the White Volta has been completed and awaiting for approval from Hon.Kwesi Amoako Atta and am very sure that after this visit he would approve for the award of the 29kms and a bridge on the White Volta, the deputy minister stated.
