Day three of the ongoing Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Division Two (2) Sub middle League for zone 5 and 6 saw STK Stars recording a massive 5-1 victory against Buipe Scorpions in a must win game for the Sawla based team.
Coach Rahman made only one change to the team that lost narrowly to Pusher FC in the first game.
Having been drawn bye for day two, STK was the only team without in win in the highly competitive league taking place in Laribanga.
It was therefore no surprising that they came all out and scored the first goal through Gbolo in the 10th minute of the game.
Inusah added the next two goals in the 22nd and 33rd minutes marks. The fourth goal was scored by Wahid.
The Scorpions pulled one back courtesy Gawusu on the 77th minute .
Gbolo put the ice on the cake with a 80th minute strike to complete his double.
STK Stars are third on the table behind Yaipe FC and Pusher FC which both have 4 points. However, Pusher FC has played a game more than both STK and Yaipe FC.
Mole Nationals and Buipe Scorpions also have three points each.
On Saturday 4th June, STK Stars will seek to make it two wins out of three when they lock horns with undefeated top of the table Yaipe FC whiles Pusher FC must win against Mole Nationals in their last game to have any hope of qualifying to the middle League proper.
