NPP’s policies and programs unmatched – Savannah Regional Director of Communications.

The Savannah Regional Communications team of the ruling New Patriotic Party party had tauted the achievements of the party in the region in a three-day media tour of the region under the theme “getting closer to the media, accounting to the people” under the auspices of the communications Directorate of the party.

Mr. Issah Mohammed who is the Regional Communications Director of the NPP in an exclusive interview with Yagbon radio on 16th October, 2021 stated that the achievements of the NPP under the Nana Addo led administration in the Savannah Region is unprecedented and should not be compared to the shoddy projects of Ex-president John Dramani Mahama.

“In the first two years after Nana Addo won the 2016 elections he birthed the Savannah Region which Fmr. President Mahama couldn’t achieved since he became the became vice president and later president of Ghana, his grandfather Yagbonwura begged him to work on the Damongo water project but he failed the overlord of the Gonja Kingdom but when Nana Addo became president the project was started and almost on a level of completion”, he said.

He couldn’t even appoint any MP in the Region as Minister not even the MP of his own former constituency (Bole-Bamboi constituency) was appointed as even a Deputy Minister when he was President except in his latter days in office when he appointed John Abdulai Jinapor as a deputy energy minister and that one is probably because Abdulai Jinapor was his spokesperson and with the motive to win the Busunu-Yapei constituency seat for the NDC”, Mr Issah added.

He noted that since Nana Addo came into office he didn’t neglect the people of the Savannah Region even though he lost in terms of presidential votes in the region in both the 2016 and 2020 general elections but he undertook massive projects in the region and these projects are unmatched to what our own brother, uncle and son John Mahama did for us throughout his 8years at the presidency.

He mentioned the construction of the Daboya-mankragu road project, the Yapei and Damongo water projects, the Salaga-Bimbila road project, Salaga-Kpandai road project, Salaga astroturf park, the Bamboi polyclinic, Sawla polyclinic, Buipe polyclinic, the Bole District warehouse, Ambulances for constituencies in the region among a host of others as great achievements of the NPP in the region only in their first tenure and was optimistic that there were more projects yet to be implemented in the Region.

Lawuratu Musah Saaka, also a member of the NPP communications team affirmed that the media is the fourth estate of the realm and it is through the media that citizens are informed of the projects of the Government and hence one of the reasons the communications directorate of the party in the Region thought it wise to pay a courtesy call to all media houses in the seven constituencies in the Region.

She further said that H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo is indiscriminatory and has included the region in all flagship programs and the need for the people of the region to rally their support behind the NPP as it’s working hard to break the 8 years political jinx.

She however encouraged media practitioners in the region to publish stories that will attract investors to the Region and desist from negative reportage.

The Communications Directorate as part of their courtesy call to Yagbon Radio gave an undisclosed amount of money to the Management of the media house which was highly appreciated by the station’s management.
