The Member of Parliament for Bole- Bamboi Constituency in the Savannah, Hon. Yusif Sulemana (Ori), has held a town hall meeting to account for his stewardship in the constituency on Saturday, 21st November 2020.
He used the opportunity to account to the constituents the numerous projects and programmes he has undertaken since ascending the parliamentary seat of the area.
The MP gave a presentation of his projects since 2017 covering from economic, trade, business, education, health to social needs of the constituents.
On health, Hon. Yusif stated that he has provided the Bole District Hospital with incubators and other materials to the hospital.
He added that he spent millions of Ghana Cedis during the outbreak of the novel Corona virus as he ensured that all health facilities in the constituency were all equipped with PPEs in the fight against the virus.
Touching on the Education sector, Hon. Yusif revealed that he has renovated two schools in the constituency that were completely ripped off by a storm, provided furniture to most schools in the constituency, provision of Mathematical sets to BECE students and supported other schools with building materials to execute various projects.
On the provision of portable drinking water, the MP stated that a good number of boreholes have been dug by him in the constituency while others are on going.
The MP added that, he has supported women groups in the constituency with starts up capital to engage in trading wihile sewing machines were also given to apprentices.
On Community support, he outlined that tricycles were given to communities, especially communities where school children have to walk miles to ease their movement difficulties.
Hon. Yusif added he has fairly shared his resources in the constituency devoid of any discrimination.
He added it is his mandate to account to his constituents as they entrusted power on him as an MP for the past three and half years.
The MP who is seeking re-election on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress urged the constituents to vote massively for him and his Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama to transform the Constituency and Ghana at large.
“With this you can attest to what I have been able to do so all i ask is to renew my mandate as a Member of Parliament and vote for John Dramani Mahama as president and much development would be expected”, he stated to a rousing applaud.
The meeting was attended by traditional leaders, youth of the town, party members and other stakeholders in the constituency.
