An unidentified man, believed to be in his early 40s, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging, at the outskirts of Kakiase in the Bole District.

The deceased with a well-shaved hair and beard, dressed in a pair of ash jeans trousers, a red shirt which can be described as a “funeral shirt”, was found hanging on a shea tree in the bush.

The Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Taukyen Robert, told Yagbon News that the unidentified man was discovered by a resident of Abrewankor.

“The Chiefs and elders of Mankuma were quickly informed about the incident, who later also called to informed me about it”, he said.

A few residents and passers-by, rushed to the scene in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the body.

“When I arrived at the scene, a handful of people had gathered, discussing what might have triggered the alleged suicide”, Hon. Robert said.

While some of them suspected foul play, others opined that he might have ended it all “to run away from the pressures of life”.

Hon. Robert, said the deceased was not familiar to them.

According to the Assemblyman, he has since reported the incident to the police in Bole but they were yet to visit the scene as at the time of filling this story.
