Madam. Vivian Ne-ormah, a concerned Brifor lady based in Accra has announce undisclosed amount Support package for Yagbon Radio Brifor News desks to help campaign against the transmission of the Coronavirus in the country.
Madam Vivian contribution will support in the payment of airtime of which kick starts today 9: 00pm to 10:00pm on every Tuesday for the next one month.
Though for the past one month the station has dedicated its Saturday program mainly on educating our people (Brifor), madam said we need to intensity our campaign on the deadly COVID- 19 virus, its mode of transmission and preventive measures.
Ghana’s stand in relation to the COVID- 19 is pegged at 161 with 5 deaths currently.
The virus is spread mainly from between people who are in close contact with one another, that is within about 6 feet and via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into one’s lungs.
To prevent the spread, the standard recommendations coming from World Health Organization and Ghana Health Service are regular hand washing, covering of one’s mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing.
People are advised to avoid close contacts with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
