The Executive Director of Frontier Missions Network of the Zion Community Church International, has handed over a newly dug out hand pump borehole to Kaawie community in the Dinee Electoral Area of the Sawla -Tuna- Kalba District in the Savannah Region.
Residents of the community numbering about 900 of children and adults walk about 5 Miles in search for potable water in the streams.
They regretted how they compete with animals in the almost dried up streams to collect water for their domestic chores.
Speaking today at Kaawie, the chief of the community, Kaawiewura Sulemana Moshi, sincerely appreciated the great support given to the community and pledged to take care of the borehole for generations to benefit.
Women in the community also regret how they have been fetching water in the streams at odd hours since their childhood.
They believe it’s a great relief to all women in the community.
Among other things, residents of the Community were taken through personal hygiene as in hand Washing exercise at the sideline of the program.
It was on the theme, clean hands, clean heart.
The Assembly Member of the Dinee Electoral, Hon Emmanuel Jengitey promised to cooperate with Frontier Missions Network to bring the needed development to the people.
