Jentige: Farmer killed by an unknown assailants.

Unknown assailants have reportedly butchered a 40 years old farmer identified as Doogoli Yelpaala ( Olii ), to death at Jentige, a farming community in the Bole District of the Savannah Region.

The incident occurred on May 31, 2021.

According to the Assembly member for the area, Hon. Ebong Kusaari Alim, the farmer was returning from his farm in the evening with his wife on a motorbike when two men, unmasked emerged from the bush and attacked the farmer with a cutlass inflicting multiple injuries on him.

The Assembly member narrated to Yagbon News that one of the men cutlassed the farmer from behind leading to his fall and the other one subsequently joined where the farmer was butchered to death.

According to the Assembly member the assailants bolted away with the farmer’s gun after commiting the heineos act.

The wife of the farmer who is physically challenged then run home to inform people about the incident and by the time people got to the scene the man had died, Hon Alim told Yagbon News.

The Assembly member said the wife of the farmer was able to identify the assailants as Fulanis but cannot trace where they came from.

The police were informed and the body had has been deposited at the Bole Hospital pending autopsy and investigations .

Efforts are underway by police to arrest the suspects according to the Assembly member.
