Ghana Premier League side Bechem United’s shot stopper Iddrisu Abdulai has vowed to return to action from his injury stronger than he was.
The former STK Stars FC and University of Education first choice goalkeeper who was nicknamed Da Sylva because of his goal keeping heroics, joined Bechem United this season.
After a difficult start to live at Bechem United as a player, by dint of hardwork at training he caught the eye of the Coach.
Iddrisu made his Premier League debut in the 3-1 win against Great Olympics during the first round.
His performance in that game compelled the technical handlers of the team to maintain him for the last three matches of the round. Sylva was supposed to be in poles against Kumasi Ashanti but the game was rained off.
Unfortunately, the promising young goalkeeper picked up an injury in training and missed the re-scheduled match against Kotoko which Bechem United lost 0-4.
To the relief of his coach, Sylva returned to action in the first match of the second round and helped his team to a 1-0 victory over WAFA.
However, the injury reoccurred forcing him out of training.
Sylva, who is also a trained physical eductionist said his doctors found nothing wrong around his knee after an x-ray was done.
But he told Yagbon Radio Sports that the swelling around the knee makes it difficult to even train but he is gradually responding to treatment.
He added that he would return even stronger to fight for his number one spot in the team.
In wishing all muslims in and around his hometown Bole and Sawla a successful Ramadan fasting, the former regular Yagbon Radio Sports pundit humbly requested his fans to keep praying for him.
