The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Damongo constituency Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has that said he has no any presidential ambition but just to see to the development of the people in his region.
The MP for the Damomgo Constituency said this at Yagbon Radio during a short interview as part of his one – day tour to Bole District.
The Lands and Natural Resources Minister was asked about a presentation in Parliament on cultural, tourism and political heritage of Savannah region in relation to his political ambition.
Where the host sought to relate features of personalities in the presentation and how they climbed to high heights in their political career vis- a- vis his own his character.
He said it is his priority is to see Savannah and the people of Gonjaland develop.
According the MP he has set a pace where by any political party that is in power, Savannah region should be the outmost beneficiary.
He said young people must get jobs and accelerated infrastructure in the region.
He said we should consider the creation of Savannah region and the benefits it will attract to the people .
According to him, a visit to Bole has diagnosed the biggest challenge which is a municipal status and the rehabilitation Bole-Sawla highway.
He said our agriculture value will also be developed and he will ensure that the Ghc27m AFDB will be well utilized to the benefits of his people.
These are the reason I am so concern about not presidential ambition, he stated.
He pleaded with the people to bear with the current economic crisis in the country believing the NPP government will turn things around.
According to him if not for COVID and Russia- Ukraine war we will not be where we are currently.
He said the people of Gonja should bear with Government as the 2023 budget will mitigate the challenges confronting Ghanaians.
