Hon. Yusif Sulemana ( Ori), the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency has filed his nomination to contest the upcoming primaries for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Hon. Yusif, who is contesting the seat for the third bid had his nomination forms filed at the Party’s constituency office led by his brother, Ansumah Abdulai.
According to him, he delegated his brother to do the filing on his behalf due to the enskinment of the new Yagbonwura at Nyange which he cannot afford failing to attend.
Speaking to Yagbon News at his residence after his forms were accepted by the constituency elections team, he charged the delegates to rally behind him to win the seat once more for the NDC, judging from his positive performances both Parliament and at the constituency level.
According to him the 2024 election would be won with experience and not experiment.
The incumbent MP said his motive was to retain the seat and improve the economic fortunes of his constituents.
He urged his contenders which said he doesn’t know yet to conduct a clean and decent campaign devoid of insults to avoid dwindling the fortunes of the party in the 2024 polls.
Hon. Yusif who is the Deputy ranking member of Parliamentary Select Committee of Trades and Industry, called for unity, peace, and harmony amongst the party, adding that all efforts and energies should be saved for the general election for the party to win the presidential election in 2024.
He believes he is the best candidate to rally behind the Former President John John Dramani Mahama in recapturing political power from the governing New Patriotic Party.
