In his quest to create job opportunities to improve the standards of living among constituents and create wealth through entrepreneurship, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole-Bamboi constituency, Hon. Yusif Sulemana has donated 5 sewing machines to 5 underprivileged girls at Gbebiri in the Mankuma Electoral Area of the Bole District.

The MP made the donation on Tuesday, December 27 , at his residence where he handed over the machines to the NDC branch women organizer to be handed over to the girls at Gbebiri.

According to the MP, in a tour to the community,he realized that the young girls were learning the trade with only one machine and hence the need for the donation.

The legislator was hopeful the donation will go a long way to equip and make these young girls self-sustaining when they complete the training and begin their own businesses.

The MP, has over the years committed adequate resources to train, develop and support skills of residents to create employment and empower them financially.

Key amongst them are the donation of sewing and hairdryer machines to graduates in dressmaking and hairdressing, training of residents in soap making.

Others included the distribution of start-up kits to artisans.

He assured the general public of his continuous effort to equip people especially the youth with the technical and professional skills needed for socio-economic and industrial development of the area.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, the NDC branch women organizer madam Mary Chiliitey expressed appreciation to the MP for the kind gesture and support.

The MP also handed over a set of Jersey and a football to the Gbebiri D/A primary to improve upon their sporting activities.
