Mr Paul Saayir, the Head of Department, Business Education, School of Education and Life-Long Learning who was the Chief invigilator at the Bole centre of the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies ( UBIDS), Wa, Upper West of Ghana, has urged workers to take advantage of the University’s Weekend /Distance education programme to upgrade themselves.
He said the goal of the Weekend programme of the University was to bring university education to the doorstep of Ghanaians’.
Mr Paul Saayir said this in an interview with Yagbon News at the Bole centre of the University as first batch of the institution ends their semester.
He said so far there are seven centres of the University Weekend programme in the country running under the School of Education and Life-Long Learning.
He said University is poised of increasing access to relevant and flexible tertiary education and training anytime, anywhere through the Distance Learning Mode.
The Bole centre which was opened in 2023 has total number of 76 students reading various Master’s of Education programmes.
The courses offered at the Bole centre include Master’s of Education in the following; Administration and Management, Guidance and Counseling, Business Education, Basic Education and Social Science Education.
He said the UBIDS Weekend education programme was very flexible and is a weekend programme designed to help workers upgrade themselves while working at the same time.
” UBIDS is one of the best educational institution in Ghana, and we encourage all workers to take advantage of our programmes.We provide quality education at the tertiary level,” the Chief invigilator said.
