Frontiers Mission Network in collaboration with the Zion Community Church International, on Monday, April 08, 2024 commissioned two borehole projects that bring access to clean water to two communities in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.
The two communities included Seiteng and Gbonkoteng which were unprivileged in getting potable water for domestic chores had been struggling with contaminated water with animals over years.
Both beneficiary communities are located in the Sanyeri Electoral Area.
Speaking during the handing over ceremony in the two communities, Dr Apostle Moses Konjon Sansah alias “Nchuwura ” who’s the Executive Director for Frontier Missions Network International said his outfit is reaching out the word of God to children of God through the provisioning of potable water, feed the hunger project, personal hygiene and health to the less privileged in society.
He appealed to residents to continue to maintain the borehole for generation unborn to benefit.
He however recounted how the women in the community Trek several miles in search for clean potable water.
Women in both communities expressed their gratitude to the organization for the great relief done them .
They pledged to maintain the borehole anytime it breaks down.
Hon Bakari Abdul Aziz who’s the assembly member for the Sanyeri Electoral Area on behalf of the chiefs and elders of the community thanked the non- profitable organization for reaching out his ministry to his electoral by providing water to the residents.
He said, most of the communities in his area are populated and still needs potable water to reduce other water born diseases.
He also cautioned the residents to constantly maintain it any time it breaks down.
The women in the two communities who are the direct beneficiary of the water sang songs of joy to signify a relief of their struggle.
Dr Apostle Moses Konjon Sansah in his concluding remarks reiterated the need for other stakeholders and government institution to champion the need for shaping the socio economic status of hinterlands.
