Panelists who appeared on Yagbon radio weekly program dubbed “Jaanuor buur” said envy and jealousy are the two main emotions which are stifling businesses in our communities.

The panelists Hon. Backah Peter, Mr. Dari Peter and Mr. Donhuno Denis indicated on the show held on Saturday April 02, 2022, on the topic “effects of jealousy in our communities” noted that envy and jealousy are the banes of business development in our local setting.

“It is an important thing that we need to address in our communities, because it is affecting our politics, our businesses, our farming activities and the society” they said.

They noted that “hatred, anger,  joy, sadness – all these are emotions, and they affect our business lives.

some of them they stressed that can be addressed. But envy and jealousy are untouchable.

You cannot see jealousy, it’s innate. And that is where community businesses collapse from the manpower.

This is the biggest factor in our businesses affecting our own people, they indicated.

They added, “You cannot tell him; if you tell him that, ‘I see you are envious of me,’ he’ll tell you: ‘How can I be envious of you?’ We doubt, argue, defend and yet it is real.”
