“We need to work together and take advantage of the peaceful and enabling environment to quicken our development from the grassroots to the national level”, she said.

“If we are united in our local communities and as a District, we will experience accelerated development across the area. We must work together to improve development for generations yet to come”.

Madam Veronica made the call during the Second Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the fourth session of the eighth assembly of the Bole District on Tuesday September 12, 2023.

She commended the assembly members, heads of departments, the security agencies, the staff of the assembly and all who contributed to the development of the area.

“Development can only be accelerated with a united front and it is therefore imperative for us to put aside our partisanship lenses to unite and address challenges that confront the area”.

She said the assembly would not deny assembly members of ex gratia for their invaluable roles in the development of the electoral areas.

“Management in partnership with the Assembly members are working to mobilize 195,000 Ghana cedis to pay the ex- gratia of 39 Assembly members”, she told the House.

She indicated that the District is set to benefit immensely from the Social Cohesion Project, a World Bank funded project.

She mentioned the construction 3 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Kalidu and Ntereoso, construction of a 3 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Bonbontey and expansion maintenance on a shea butter factory at Chache, expansion of a lorry Park phase l at Gbenfu and a 6 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Jama being financed by Bui Power Authority.

According to her the District is waiting for the approval of the above projects from the Regional Coordinating Council for the execution of the projects to commence by the end of September, 2023.
