Police are investigating a case of murder, after a police constable (name withheld), was found dead at her home, in Damongo in the Savannah Region with stab wounds on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Superintendent of Police Director, Public Affairs, Mrs Sheilla Kessie Abayie- Buckman, through a press release said that the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
According to the police press release the woman was found in a pool of blood with wounds believed to be knife stabs.
“The body has been deposited at the West Gonja District Hospital, pending investigations”, the police release added.
Her boyfriend who is on the run is highly suspected and the police are on a man hunt for him, the police release indicated.
“The Police Administration has also started processes to inform the family of the deceased and assures that it will update the public on the matter”, according to the police press release.
