The Bole Church of Christ on Sunday, 27th August 2023, donated food items and some cash to 20 visually impaired persons in the Bole District.
In a short sermon, Preacher Daniel Avumatsodo, emphasized on the mandate of the Church in transforming society through the Word of God and supporting the underprivileged in the community.
He cited Mathew 25:35, saying, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in”.
The items, which included rice, oil , mackerel, soap , detergents and some cash among others, were presented to the to the visually impaired as part of the church’s efforts towards assisting the underprivileged in these trying times.
Preacher Daniel after the presentation explained to Yagbon News that the church were not only mandated to preach but to also give back to society especially the less privileged.
In all, 20 people benefited from the benevolence of the Church.
The recipients of the donation could not hide their joy as, they were remembered by the Church of Christ.
