A new driving school, Boresa Driving Institute, has officially been launched in Bole, with a strong commitment to improving road safety and sharpening driving skills in the area.

Speaking at the launch, the Administrator of the institute, Mmuapewura Abdullah Jaga, encouraged residents of Bole and its surrounding communities to enroll to acquire proper driving training.

According to him, the institute is open to everyone — including individuals who cannot read and write.

He explained that the school has qualified and experienced instructors who are well equipped to teach both practical driving skills and the basic knowledge required before driving on the road.

“We are not only recruiting people who can read and write. Even if you cannot read and write, our instructors can still teach you how to drive,” he stated.

He emphasized that many people have acquired driver’s licences elsewhere but lack sharp and safe driving skills. He assured the public that Boresa Driving Institute will help sharpen such skills to ensure drivers can confidently and responsibly use their licences.

However, he clarified that the institute strictly follows national regulations regarding age requirements.

“We do not encourage anyone under 18 years to obtain a licence. We are required to issue licences only to persons who are 18 years and above. If you are below 18, we can teach you the basics of driving, but you cannot be issued a licence,” he explained.

Mr. Jaga further stressed that the establishment of the institute is aimed at reducing road accidents in Bole and beyond. He cited a recent incident where a vehicle collided with theirs due to a lack of driving skills, highlighting the urgent need for proper training.

The Boresa Driving Institute promises professional instruction, improved driving competence, and a safer road environment for all. Residents are therefore encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to become responsible and skilled drivers.
