A teacher with the Methodist “A” JHS, in Bole Mr. Opoku kwarteng was on Friday morning, May 14, 2021, allegedly hit with an object on his head by four men who invaded the school premises.

The hit on his head was said to have caused the teacher went unconscious and only regain consciousness at the Bole District Hospital.

Narrating the incident to Yagbon News at the Hospital, Mr Kwarteng said that blocks belonging to the school were to be relocated to different place which still forms part of the school premises only for the men to emerge from no where and allegedly inflicted injuries on his head.

According to him, the said men neither own the blocks nor the land where the blocks were been relocated to.

“All I heard was that, I don’t respect and before I turned to move away I was hit from the back and I can’t tell whether it was a block or a stick,’ he told Yagbon News.

Mr Kwarteng added that they wanted to move the blocks to a safer place because his school was preparing for a football match later today in the evening.

Rev. Philip Mintah, the minister of the Methodist Church in charge of the Bole District, who spoke in a worried voice said he can’t fathom the cause of the  misunderstanding and urged the police to investigate the matter to its latter.

According to Rev. Mintah, the church had obtained all legal documents of ownership of the land since 1957.

“This is the second time we are being harassed over this land issue”, Rev. Mintah said.

The teacher is currently at Bole District Hospital responding to treatment.

The police has since visited the crime scene and are yet to make any arrest because the suspects bolted away after allegedly committing the crime.
