Residents of Bole have been gripped with fear following the murder of another watchman in the community.
The watchman identified as Mumuni Yahaya believed to be around 50 -years-old was a night watchman at the Bole Girls Model JHS hostel.
He was found dead on Sunday May, 26, 2024, inside a room at the hostel.
It is believed that his head was smashed with a block as pieces of a broken block were found at the scene with blood stains.
The body of the deceased watchman has been conveyed and deposited at the Sawla Hospital morgue by Police for preservation.
The Assemblyman for the Mempeasem Electoral Area Mr Abu Hassan through an interview with Yagbon News condemned the killing of the watchman.
He described the killing as very disturbing and unfortunate.
He called on the Police to deal with the matter and bring the offenders to book.
He further want the Police to intensify their patrols of the township, especially during night time.
Residents who were present at the crime scene, wants the police to be up and doing in the fight against such crimes.
At the time Yagbon News visited the hostel where the incident occurred students of the school had expressed worry over the incident and threatened that they will not sleep in the hostel today.
On Wednesday May ,01, 2024, a man, aged about 70 years was found dead around green valley, a suburb of Bole of the Yelwa Electoral Area in the Bole District of the Savannah Region.
He was however later identified by his family members as a resident of Bole.
