The Bole District Community Foundation, with funding support from Conciliation Resources and NORTHCODE, has launched a new peace initiative dubbed the Bole Peace Project.
The project would be jointly implemented by Pure Trust and the Bole District Community Foundation.
The initiative was conceived in response to the destruction and displacement experienced by communities following the Gbiniyiri conflict.
While the project will cover the entire Bole District, it will place particular focus on Chanchire, Abara, Abasoma, and their surrounding communities, which were among the most affected.
Speaking at the launch, the Board Chairman of the Bole District Community Foundation Rev. Adam B. Seidu expressed profound gratitude to the donors for their timely intervention.
He noted that the support demonstrates a deep recognition of the urgent need for peace and stability within the District.
A reverend minister present at the event emphasized the universal necessity of peace, stressing that the donation reflects the donors’ awareness of the challenges faced by the people of Bole.
He urged residents and partner organizations, including the Pure Trust Foundation, to support the successful implementation of the project to strengthen community resilience.
The CEO of the Bole District Community Foundation, Mr. Alhassan Abdul-Razack, highlighted the inevitability of conflict in all spheres of life—from families to settlements and even the animal kingdom.

However, he stressed the importance of reconciliation and the need to rebuild and strengthen community cohesion.
Mr. Abdul-Razack explained that, although the project will primarily target Abasoma, Abara, and Chanchire, it will involve extensive stakeholder consultations and community engagements to foster peace and stability across the District.
He called on all residents to participate actively in reconciliation efforts, emphasizing that such unity would affirm the significance of the donors’ support.
He further appealed to citizens of the Bole District to appreciate the efforts of partners who, despite being far from the District, have committed resources to promote peace and healing.
