The Assembly Member for Chache Electoral Area in the Bole District, Hon. Alim Kuusaari Ebong, has appealed to community members to keep surveillance and endeavour to report abnormal behaviours of strangers who come into their communities.
He noted that the recent terrorists’ activities in the West Africa sub-region has put Ghana at a risk and urged the community members to be vigilant about the presence of strangers in their communities to ward off terrorist threats and secure peace for the country.
According to him, the security of Bole District needs to be strengthened covering areas such as Dollar power, Tinga and other galamsay operation communities in the area.
“Issues of cattle rattling and widespread activities of nomadic herdsmen all over the District have the potency of making us prone to attacks from these bad groups of people”, he noted.
He added that, the District cannot forget the fact that it shares boundaries with Ivory Coast to the western part of the district at Chache, Yombokuraa, Jankpulokuraa, Maanukuraa, Nsunua with a host of unapproved routes.
“At Ntereso, we share border with Ivory coast again leading to the famous Dollar power. We have tasted attacks at individual levels and who knows if they are not testers”, Hon. Alim added.
He noted that, the earlier we start to put in measures the better as a District.
