Madam Veronica Alele Heming, District Chief Executive for Bole, has asked People with Disabilities (PWDs) not to allow their physical conditions to bury their God-giving talents and potentials.
She said PWDs who made good use of whatever support they receive to improve themselves and contribute meaningfully to national development were an asset to society.
It was therefore important for people with disabilities not to grief about their circumstances but use the skills, knowledge and potential they have to make meaningful contributions to national development.
Madam Veronica made the call when she presented some items to the office of disable resource center in the District to support their daily activities.
The items included 3 tables ,3 chairs and 3 desktop computers which are to be in the offices of the blind, deaf and the physically challenged.
They were purchased from the three percent share of the District Assemblies Common Fund, allocated to the PWDs at the District level.
Receiving the items, Mr Salifu Adama, secretary of the Ghana Blind Union thanked the District Assembly for the continuous support and promised that the items would be fully utilized to the benefit of all their members.
