The NDC communicators in the Bole-Bamboi constituency in an earlier release on 17th July, 2021, boycotting all radio and television discussions about their party has altered their decision after a crunch meeting with the Savannah Regional Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Imoro and some Regional Executives on 21st July, 2021, at Sawla.
The communicators, numbering about 8 had through a press release settled not to take an interest in any radio and TV exchange about activities of their party, over what they say the party’s leadership in the area have failed to reward them for their loyalty.
Be that as it may, after a crunch meeting with the gathering chain of command including the party Regional Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Imoro at Sawla on 21st July, 2021, the coordinator for the communication team led by Mr Abass Braimah (Prof), through a press release on 25th July said the communicators have consented to a road map for the determination of their grievances, a purpose behind the suspension of their boycott.
He however, commended the Regional chairman, his team, the Constituency chairman and the constituency communication officers for Bole-Bamboi constituency for the Swift response, attention and leadership they have shown leading to the resolution of the impasse.
Also speaking on the matter, Mr Bashiru Amantana, the Bole-Bamboi constituency communications officer disclosed to Yagbon News that his associates were happy with the road map thus rescission of their boycott.
“We met the Regional Chairman and some Regional Executives and they laid their grievances, of which a road map was given. so they have made plans to suspend the boycott and resume to communicate activities of our party”, he clarified.
Background.
Communicators for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole- Bamboi constituency of the Savannah Region have declared to boycott all radio and television discussions in the constituency to drum home their message of neglect by the National Democratic Congress party.
The party communicators, bemoaned the disparity in resource allocation to the communication bureau as part of their grievances and the total neglect by party hierarchy.
According to them, their sacrifices in communicating the policies of the party since 2014 to date have not been duly rewarded by the party’s leadership.
The communicators through a press release on July 17, 2021, have served notice to boycott both radio and TV programmes to signal the appropriate quarters their plight for immediate intervention.
