Birifor Youth Association to hold Annual Congress at Nyoli.

The 46th Annual home coming Congress of the Birifor Youth Association (BYA) will takes place at Nyoli, in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region beginning from April 30 to May 3, 202, under theme: “Building Strong Intra and Inter Tribal Relations for Peace and Development, The Role of The Birifor Youth”.

The Birifor Youth Association home coming Congresses over the years have served as avenue, where all the indigenes of Birifor, residents of Birifor as well as all persons who by special circumstances and or choice are affiliated to the affairs of Birifor, meet to deliberate, reflect and constructively debate on the socio political and economic well being of the Birifor people.

The congress also afford the various youth Associations in Birifor a unique opportunity to socialise, discuss and share experiences and challenges in the course of the previous year and gives the people an opportunity to share their plans and experiences towards the development of Birifor.

The programme of the Congress is as follows:

1. FRIDAY 30TH APRIL, 2021

-Clean Up Exercise and Float in Nyoli Township- 6:00am to 10:00am

-Arrival and Registration of participants and delegates – All day at the JHS park

-Entrainment all night at the JHS Park, Nyoli

 

2. SATURDAY 1ST MAY, 2021

-Courtesy call on the chiefs at Nyoli Naa’s palace at 8:00am

– Football Gala Matches at the R/C JHS Park at 8:00am to 5:00pm.

-Health screening for hepatitis B and cervical cancer at 8:00am-12:00pm

-General Assembly Meeting at 2:00pm

-Adoption of BYA National constitution and election of new executives

-Birifor Musical show/ Miss Birifor Cultural and Beauty Contest at the JHS Park at 7:00pm

 

3. SUNDAY 2nd May, 2021

-Grand Durbar of Chiefs and Youth at the R/C JHS at 8:00am

-Solidarity messages from all invited Youth at the R/C JHS at 3:00pm

-Entertainment all night at the Durbar Grounds and the R/C JHS park

 

4. MONDAY 3rd May, 2021.
Committee members meeting.

-Departure

-All sons and daughters of Birifor are cordially invited!!
