Prior to the commencement of the November 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination, the assembly member of Mempeasem electoral area within the Bole District, Mr Mohammed Shiraz-Deen, has given food stuffs to the only Girls Model JHS in the District which is located within his electoral area.

A statement issued by the assemblyman, States that as part of his little effort to make the only Girl’s school in Bole District vibrant and also to support girl child education, he presented a bag of rice, cooking oil and some tubers of yam to Bole Girls Model JHS, which happens to be in my Electoral Area, Mempeasem, to support the final year students in their preparation towards their BECE Examination which is some few days away.

He also promised to also offer them means of transport from the school to the examination centre which is some five kilometers apart, each day in the period of the examination.

He again promised to give each an every one of them a branded T-shirt with their names if they are able to put up good behavior in the whole examination period.

“I equally promised a reward package by giving one hundred Ghana cedis per each grade one scored by each student when the BECE results are released. To this, a student who scored a one, will receive hundred Ghana Cedis, two ones, two hundred Ghana Cedis, three ones, three hundred Ghana Cedis, and the ultimate scorer of nine ones receiving nine hundred Ghana Cedis”, the statement added.

Girl Child Education is at an all time low in our District and we need all hands on deck to reverse this serious abnormality, Mr Mohammed Shiraz-Deen noted.
