The Chief of Abasumakura Saaka Dramani Abasoma has appealed to Pure Trust and others to support them provide his community school with a feeding program.
The chief made the appeal during the commissioning of a three unit teachers quarters in Abasomakura.
Chief Saaka Dramani said though Pure Trust Foundation has assisted his community in a lot of developmental activities, is like oliver Twist you ask for more for that matter the school feeding program.
According to the chief he has received countless incidents of hunger issues by students attributing the cause to poor living standard of the people.
He however mentioned among others white marker board, text books,borehole as some developmental activities undertaken by Pure Trust but appealed for the organisation to support them on school feeding.
Addressing the chiefs and people Abasumakura and its environs the District Coordinating Director Mr Adam Habib said if we recognize the significance of education then the wheels of development will move with us.
He added that infrastructure, teaching materials and teaching staff are the three structures in which education hinged on expressing the excitement of the assembly by pure Trust and Vibrant Village.
He advised teachers to see their job as a noble profession adding that students are of different levels of understanding so it is their responsibility to understand these levels of student’s and how to move the along with them.
He pleaded with parents to invest in their children’s education and welfare for a brighter future.
He also admonished school management committee to maintain the school and report to the Assembly if the situation is beyond their control adding that the District Assembly will continue to work with Pure Trust Foundation to foster development .
Speaking on behalf of the District Director of education Hon Sumani Thompson Abu, said it will be a thing of the past for teachers to refuse posting to Abasumakura because of accommodation.

urges teachers to maintain the facility to stand the test of time.
He said the establishment of JHS is dependant on how the school is being utilized which means if the numbers are encouraging then they will establish a Junior High School adding that the people of Abasumakura should allow the children to attend school because that will attract development to the community.
