The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi constituency in the Savannah Region, Hon. Yusif Sulemana, has called on the general public to beware of fraudsters and scammers who have created fake Facebook accounts in his name duping unsuspecting people.

The MP cautioned that people should not deal with such characters for any offer and purported job recruitment opportunities.

‘My attention has been drawn to the fraudulent activities of some unscrupulous individuals on various media using my name and position as the MP for Bole/Bamboi to dupe unsuspecting members of the society”, the MP stated in a disclaimer.

According to the MP’s disclaimer, the fraudsters employ various schemes for this purpose. Principally, they claim I have employment opportunities in various State Institutions that are available for sale.

They also claim I have residential and commercial property for sale/rent,he stated.

“I wish to STATE CATEGORICALLY that I do not know these individuals neither am I aware of their schemes”, parts of the disclaimer read.

Read the full disclaimer below;

DISCLAIMER NOTICE.

My attention has been drawn to the fraudulent activities of some unscrupulous individuals on various media using my name and position as the MP for Bole/Bamboi to dupe unsuspecting members of the society

The said fraudsters employ various schemes for this purpose. Principally, they claim I have employment opportunities in various State Institutions that are available for sale.

They also claim I have residential and commercial property for sale/rent.

I wish to STATE CATEGORICALLY that I donot know these individuals neither am I aware of their schemes.

Furthermore, I do not have any employment opportunities in any State Institution; if and when such opportunities come, they will be FREELY offered to qualified constituents.

Neither do I have any properties forsale/rent.

I am therefore by this notice, distancing myself, denouncing and condemning the activities of these fraudsters.

I would also be formally reporting these crimes to the Police, as have been done in the past.

Finally, I entreat the general public to be thorough in their dealings with people especially on social media; it is highly improbable for a Member of Parliament to contact you on social media or even vie phone (if they do not already know you personally)to offer you opportunities.

Thank you.
….Signed….
ALHAJI YUSIF SULEMANA (MP)
