The Disciplinary Committee of the Northern Regional Football Association has declared STK Stars winners against Mole Nationals FC.

The Sawla based Division Two club filed the protest against Mole Nationals after the last match of the zone 5 and 6 Sub-middle League between the two clubs ended abruptly at Laribanga a couple of weeks ago.

The match which was to determine who qualifies to the Northern Regional middle League for qualification to Division one was haulted around the 63rd minute mark after STK Stars was deemed to have scored a goal to put them 2-1 ahead.

The Committee held that officials, players and supporters of the Damango based Mole Nationals deliberately prevented the game from continuing hence STK Stars are declared 3-0 winners of the said match.

This results puts STK Stars on top of the table with 9 points whiles mole Nationals which suffered a further 3 points deduction are bottom with 3 points.

STK Stars has therefore again qualified for the Middle League proper to be played in Tamale.

This offers the club another opportunity to seek to play in the much fancied Division One League after they were left disappointed for not making it due to a ridiculous ruling from the Disciplinary Committee of the Northern Regional Football Association and subsequently from the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

However, Mole Nationals FC was fined one thousand Ghana Cedis and some players and officials also received bans of various length and at least a fine of two hundred Ghana Cedis.
