Bole DCE honoured by Bole- Bamboi branch of Ghana Blind Union.

Madam Veronica Alele Heming, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole was Thursday December 3, 2020, honoured by the Bole-Bamboi branch of the Ghana Blind Union for her dedication and commitment to duty since assumption of office in 2017.

She was presented him with a citation as a way appreciation for her sense of concern to persons living with disabilities in the District.

Making the presentation, Mr Adams Salifu, secretary of the Ghana Blind Union, Bole-Bamboi branch, said the DCE, who is a native of the Bole town has showed good leadership qualities by spearheading most development activities in the District including disability friendly initiatives.

Mr Salifu added that the DCE has persons living with disabilities in the district at her heart as she facilitated the building of a resource centre for PWDs to equip their skills in various forms of appreticeship.

He added that the DCE showed a balanced style of leadership in the outbreak of covid-19 as they were provided with PPEs geared towards curbing the virus.
With you as our DCE, the sense belonging has been experienced as he said the DCE has constantly attended to their challenges in making life better for them.

Receiving the citation, Madam Veronica Alele Heming thanked the executives of the Ghana Blind Union, Bole-Bamboi branch and indicated that she has the disabled at her heart and promised to always accomplish her part in making every resident in the district benefits from government policies irrespective of one’s physical or social status.

December 3, is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). On this Day WHO joins partners to celebrate “a day for all”. This theme reflects a growing understanding that disability is part of the human condition. Almost everyone will be temporarily or permanently impaired at some point in life.
