Asiedu Nketiah urges patience among NDC members who are yet to receive appointments.

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has called on party members who are yet to receive political appointments to remain calm and committed to the party’s long-term vision.

Addressing concerns about growing discontent among sections of the party at Sawla as part of his “Thank You” tour of the Savannah Region, Asiedu Nketiah acknowledged that not all members who contribute to the party’s success will immediately benefit from appointments.

“Those who feel disappointed in politics must understand that benefits do not come at the same time for everyone.
Some people may not receive any direct benefit now, but their children or future generations will benefit greatly from the sacrifices they are making today,” he stated.

The National Chairman stressed that politics should not be viewed solely as a means for personal gain, cautioning that impatience and frustration could harm the unity and progress of the party.

According to him, while some individuals enjoy immediate rewards, others may have to wait longer, and in some cases, their contributions may yield benefits only in the future.

He noted that such differences should not breed resentment or division within the party.

He therefore appealed to party faithful to exercise patience, remain loyal, and continue to work towards strengthening the NDC ahead of future political contests.

The remarks come amid increasing expectations within the party following electoral successes, with many members hoping to be rewarded with appointments.

The District Chief Executive for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba, Hon. Saaka Sinkina, commended Mr. Asiedu Nketiah for visiting the District as part of his nationwide “Thank You Tour”.

Hon. Sinkina outlined ongoing developmental projects being undertaken by the Assembly, including extensions of water supply, expansion of town roads, and new schools and health projects
funded through the District Assembly Common Fund.

The DCE also thanked the NDC Savannah Regional Chairman, Alhaji for his continued support and guidance towards the party in the Constituency and the region at large.
