The Bole-Bamboi MP, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana last week disclosed to Ewe communities within his constituency that the former President, HE. John Dramani Mahama was aware of their unwavering support to him and the NDC party; and has therefore asked him to assure them that he will not forsake them when he wins power in this year’s general election.

Alhaji Yusif made these remarks during his annual New Year tour of the constituency which took him to Bawule to the west of Maluwe; Awula Kope Kura, Victor Kura, Awal Kura, B A Kura, and Adam Kura to the west of Tinga; Banda Nkwanta nsuo anu made up of Agola kope, Sogba kope, Maka kope, Israel kope, Akomi kope, Ako kope, Kpetigo kope, Sankare home, Togo Kope, and Able kope all Ewe settlements with some significant population.

In 2020, the Bole-Bamboi MP, Hon Alhaji Yusif Sulemana in his resolve to reach out to every voter within his constituency, commissioned a team to scout for settlements that hitherto were never captured in any government of Ghana document but had eligible voters, led to the discovery of these communities. He subsequently made arrangements for these cut off constituents to get registered by making sure their roads were cleared, food and shelter provided for those who couldn’t register within a day and needed to sleep over.

In 2021, he again assisted the Ghana statistical service to enumerate the population in these communities.

Hon Yusif also donated Solar Lamps, Bags of rice, Cooking oil, Mackerel, Spaghetti, Footballs, Jerseys and some Cash to these communities and reassured them of his continued support. He further promised them that their needs such as schools, health centres, electricity and many more will be met when the NDC assumes office.

The communities expressed their profound gratitude to the Hon MP for his tireless efforts since 2020 in protecting their welfare and also pledged their continuous support to him, John Dramani Mahama and the NDC party.
