Unidentified body found at Sawla.

The body of unknown person has been found at Sawla, the capital of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.

The body was found at the R/C cluster of schools by local authorities in which the body was buried without its knee .

Residents who spoke to Yagbon News said they are living in fear after two similar incidents have been recorded in Bole within one month.

Describing the incident as horrific the residents are calling on chiefs and security agencies to intervene in bringing the pepertrators of such heineos crimes to a book.

Speaking to Yagbon News, Sawlawura Abdulai Nungbaso said he was to have his zuhur Islamic prayer when the news got to him about the incident.

According to him he called the District Police Commander and the District medical team and the land owners to move to the scene where the body was exhumed and was being prepared for reburial.

Sawlawura said on Friday 18th February 2022, such criminal acts was a big issue at Bolewura’s palace during a Bole Traditional Council Meeting.

He said Bolewura and the chiefs of the traditional area are not happy over the situation also called for all hands on deck to bring a lasting solution to such bad acts.

He therefore expressed shock at the third incident in a month and said the God, gods and the ancestors will see the traditional area through in such difficult times.

The District police Commander DSP Paul Lambert has also confirmed the incident to Yagbon News but cannot conclude on anything for now.

He said there are procedures in dealing with such cases adding that investigations are ongoing so all should exercise restrain until conclusions are made.
