Two motorbike riders were crashed to death in a fatal accident at Sawla on the Sawla- Damongo road in the Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District of the Savannah region.
One of the deceased, has been identified as Biirbele, believed to be in his 20s, a carpenter, who picked one person on his motorbike is said to be coming from Nyange when the accident occurred at about 8:30 pm on Wednesday evening after he collided with a rider who has also picked one person and heading towards the Damongo direction.
One of the motorbikes caught fire immediately after the severe head- on collision and burnt one of the riders beyond recognition while two others are said to be in critical condition receiving treatment at the Sawla District Hospital.
The identity of the other young man who died was not made known at the time of the accident.
The Police at Sawla are yet to make a comment on the accident.
