St. Kizito B JHS has won the 2022 Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso Science and Maths Quiz competition held on Thursday October 20, 2020 at Wuripe and Sons Royal lodge.

They won with 34.5 points against 34 points by Bole Methodist B JHS.

Nyange D/A JHS came third with 32 points.

It was the first time Nyange D/A JHS and St. Kizito B JHS were reaching the final stage of the competition.

Nyange D/A JHS earned exercise books, certificates, mathematical sets and medals as their prize.

Bole Methodist B JHS did very well and was close but it was not their year.

The quiz mistress, madam Mercy Kuug congratulated Bole Methodist B JHS who were hoping to win the trophy for the second time.

As first runners up, their prize was exercise books, certificates, mathematical sets and medals.

As champions for KSMQ 2022, St. Kizito B JHS gets the prize of a brand new laptop, trophy, exercise books, mathematical sets, certificates and medals.

The District Director of Education, Mr Yahaya Sulemana in his opening remarks said while Science and Maths were considered to be very difficult subjects, the quiz has demystified it and made it easy for students and also engendered interest in the subjects.

He commended the organisers for sustaining the interest of students in the programme for the past two years.

He called for more collaboration between the Bole Traditional Council and the Ghana Education Service to promote education in the area.

This he said also inspired the study and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in schools.

He said the service will always support the programme as it fell in line with its agenda to STEM and to train the inventors and innovators of tomorrow.

He said GES would continue to support the programme to promote STEM among learners as he commended Bolewura as the brain behind such a laudable initiative.
