A 14 years old girl who is in JHS 2 is said to have been allegedly defiled by a staff of the National Investment Bank in sawla in the the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of Savannah Region.
This was confirmed to Yagbon radio during Friday edition of Yagbon radio morning show “Teacup “with Diwura Abdul Fataw by the Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District Police Commander ASP Degraft Armah Agyei.
According to ASP Armah the victim who already has a relation with the banker was sent to the market by her parents on 12th september, 2021 when she met the banker and taken to his house.
After the incident the girl remain in the bankers room for days. So her parents lodged a complaint at the Sawla police command for investigation.
Intelligence gathered, he said was they they saw the girl’s sandals at the banker’s door. So when they got there, they found the 14year girl weak and she was immediately rushed to the Sawla District Hospital for medical attention.
He added that they made an arrest of the banker through the operations manager on the same day after work.
Currently the victim is in remand after court hearing yesterday 16th september 2021.
During the interview the ASP lamented how parents in the district capital are irresponsible in the up bringing of their children and said any time he is on patrol around 1:00 am he see’ small girls outside with men which he said is worrying.
He advised parent to take keen interest in the up bringing of their children the area.
