Prof. Adams Sulemana Achanso launches inspirational book “Reflections on a Personal Journey”

An accomplished Professor of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Prof. Adams Sulemana Achanso, has officially launched his book, “Reflections on a Personal Journey ,” at Tamale.

The launch held on Saturday 18th April 2026, at the Twin building Hall A,Dungu campus of UDS , drew a distinguished audience comprising the University professionals, academics, faith leaders, family, friends and colleagues to celebrate the remarkable milestone in Prof. Achanso’s personal and professional journey.

Reflections on a Personal Journey is a profound reflection on life’s journey and personal experiences, crafted to serve as a guide for young people striving toward success.

 

The book offers timeless wisdom and practical insights, blending academic discipline with life lessons to inspire the next generation.

In his address, Prof. Achanso shared the story behind the book, which chronicled the journey of a young man who rose to become a professor.

He urged young people to remain disciplined, work diligently and be guided by the word of God as they pursue academic and professional excellence.

The book was later auctioned and the highest bider, Doliwura Malik Zakaria purchased the book at a price of Ghc 50,000.

Alhaji Abu Tico, the NPP constituency Chairman for Bole- Bamboi also bought the book at Ghc 20,000 and the rest of the invitees also bought the book at Ghc 2,000 and some at Ghc 1,000.

The book will be later distributed to the various schools across the country in their library to aid students know the value of education.

Prof. Achanso noted that it took him 12 years to write the book.

“Reflection On a Personal Journey” is indeed a great piece which inspired the audience and he expressed gratitude to each and every who supported him in the journey of writing the book.
