Priotise Sports in your campaigns: Politicians urged.

The Organising Secretary of the Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Committee, Mr Osman Issahaku who doubles as the Circuit Sports organiser for the Makuma Circuit of the Bole District Education Directorate has via a social media write-up made a passionate appeal to politicians especially in Savannah Region and Bole Constituency in particular to pay attention to sports during their campaign activities.

He urged politicians to support local sports initiatives like the Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Gala and the Bole District Football Association Division Three League among others.

He asserted that sports plays an important role in not only health wise but also ensuring cordial relationships among people in the various communities.

He also suggested that the political office holders to feature sports in their budget and use that to provide facilities and equipment to support sports in the various communities.

‘By stepping in and offering assistance you can demonstrate your commitment to improving the well-being of your constituents and investing in the future of your community.

Whether it is providing funding for equipment, upgrading sports facilities, or organising community sports events, your support can have a lasting impact on the lives of the many individuals especially the youth.’ He asserted.

His call has come at a time that two division two Football teams from the Bole Traditional Area have pitched camp in Damango to train on the available artificial turf there in preparation for the upcoming Northern Regional middle league since there is no turf in Bole or Sawla.

Besides the good initiative of the Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Committee has seen Bole gradually reclaiming her lost name in volleyball but the teams are also confronted with lack of balls, nets and other other basic equipment for the game.
