NPP Parliamentary candidate for Sawla-Tuna- Kalba, Hon. Ankaara Sankara has appealed to his constituents to consider changing their trend of voting over the years if only they want development in the constituency.
According to him, the NDC had controlled the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency seat since 1992 but has done nothing good for the very people who had over the years supported and voted massively for them.
“The people of the constituency needs to change the mindset behind their choice of voting from a mere party sympathiser and rather vote for those who can really do the work” he stated.
He revealed that most developing constituencies in the country is as a result of voting for personalities and not party colours and suggested to the people in the area to emulate such attitudes.
“Most of the developing constituencies are the swing ones where one party do not have monopoly over a constituency” he said.
The aspiring MP expressed his belief that the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency has not seen enough progress in recent times, but he is confident that he possesses the qualities and capabilities to change this narrative with the mandate of the people.
Driven by his passion for the welfare of the youth, women, and children, Hon Ankaara has laid out a comprehensive social intervention plan. This plan includes the creation of a welfare fund to address the needs of his constituents and the broader community.
Gradually our people, especially, the young ones, are being enlightened because of education and exposure and I believe they can decipher who has what it takes to better represent them and make an impact in their lives,” Sankara told Yagbon News in an interview.
He called on the people to vote massively for him as parliamentarian and also for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to become the next president come December 7 general elections.
