Mr Ankaara Sankara, the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba Constituency in the Savannah Region is poised to snatch the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba Seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the NPP for the first time.

Since the inception of the fourth republic, the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency has been held by the NDC, always winning both presidential and parliamentary elections.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Yagbon radio, the parliamentary candidate noted that the NDC and the MP, Mr Andrew Dari Chiwitey had done little for the people of Sawla-Tuna-Kalba over the years and the mission to oust them had begun.

According to him, the people of the constituency were yearning for a change.

He promised the people of huge development if voted as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area come December 7, 2024.

According to him, developing the entire Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency remains his top most priority, and will ensure it becomes achievable when he gets the nod to represent his people.

“You are aware I have already provided some development projects in the area including the repairs of broken down boreholes, provision of financial support to some students , construction of roads among others” he pointed out.

“Now I am offering myself as the NPP’s candidate for Sawla -Tuna-Kalba because I think, I can do better ”, he added.

He noted that a lot of work needs to be done in the area of electricity extension, provision of potable drinking water, road infrastructure and most importantly, the growing rate of youth unemployment.

Mr Ankaara described himself as an affable and humble person who listens and will be able to articulate the views of the people as their leader.
