NDC Savannah Regional delegates congress ends.

The Savannah Regional Delegate’s Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ended peacefully in Damongo at the weekend.

About 239 delegates of the party drawn from 6 constituencies in the region with the exception of Salaga South, cast their votes under an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Alhaji Imoro popularly known as Man Blessing, was retained as the Regional Chairman, as he went into the contest unopposed.

The position of the Vice Chairman went to Musa Fatawu who had 70 votes, competing with four other contestants.

Mr Sualisu Be-Awurbi Issifu was elected as the Regional Secretary with 120 votes, by beating his only contender Abdul Nasser Adam Aforo , who 95 votes, while Emmanuel Safo Sadari was elected as the Deputy Regional Secretary.

Sorku Kassim Yahuza was elected as the Regional Organizer after obtaining 111 votes to beat Inusah Abdulai who had 104 votes.

The Deputy Regional Organiser position went to Alaja Munira who secured 85 votes to beat his three other contestants, with Kassim Ali Bakari retained as the Treasurer in an unopposed contest.

Mohammed Gazari Abubakari was elected as the Deputy Treasurer with 98 votes.

R. A Jalil was also acclaimed as the Regional Communication Officer.

Deputy Communication Officer went to Abu Hassan Mahama , who had 83 votes, while Deputy Youth Organiser went to Bawa Mubarik who who obtained 14 votes.

Mr Inusah Mahama was elected as the Youth Organiser with 15 votes, while Issah Abiba was elected as the Deputy Women Organiser with 11 votes.

Hajia Afisha Bawa Doshie, won the Regional Women Organizer position with 9 votes.

Mr Ewuntomah Abdul Mumuni was elected as the Zongo Caucus with 117 votes beating his only contender Mohammed Sulemana who got 97 votes.
