Jaksally Development Organisation in partnership with the Kong Traditional Area have come in terms to draft a strategic development plan that is geared towards improving the living conditions of the residents of Kong Traditional Area as well as project the image of the Kong Traditional Council.

This was made known when the chiefs and people of Kong organised a durbar on Monday, August 10, 2020, aimed at building a road map to inclusion of the Kong Traditional Council to the new Savannah Regional House of Chiefs.

The program which is in collaboration with investors to build a modern Kong was organized by the Traditional Area and facilitated by Community College and Organizational Development (CCOD) and Jaksally Development Organisation.

In a welcome address by Yiram Kongwura Adamu Seidu Jinkkurge (l), urged investors to take advantage of the natural resources within his jurisdiction to develop the area.

He said government promise of constructing the Kong road and connecting the Community to the National Grid is yet to be accomplished.

Addressing the chiefs and people of Kong Traditional area, the Coordinator of Jaksally Development organization, Mr. Seidu Jeremiah, said the Kongwura took an entrenched position to ban wood logging and charcoal burning that attracted the partnership with NGO’s to develop the area.

As an NGO which mainly focuses on women empowerment, youth development and environmental protection campaigners we will attract the needed investors for development of the area, Jeremiah assures.

speaking to Yagbon radio, Kongwura Adamu seidu Jinkurge (l), said as a Traditional Area we need to prepare ourselves to the development of the area.

“If you do know a new change is coming to you, you just have to prepare for it, today we are to get a new Regional House of chiefs that chiefs of my area will be part, We need to prepare ourselves to fit into this new elevation that will be part of road map to a new Kong” Yiram Jinkurge (l) explained.
