Eddie Adams, the Jelinkon electoral area coordinator of the National Democratic Congress in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, has accused the New Patriotic Party of what he describes as the party’s failure to meet the developmental needs of the people of Jelinkon despite their consistent support.

Speaking during the Jelinkon annual general meeting of the NDC, Mr Eddie lamented that the Jelinkon community has not seen any significant development from the NPP, which has been winning elections in the area since 2000.

To top it all they brought the Member of Parliament for Damongo to help them when he couldn’t even provide water for the people of Damongo.

According to the electoral area coordinator,  it is time for the Jelinkon community to rethink their loyalty to the NPP and consider voting for change in the upcoming elections.

“We cannot continue to vote for a party that has not brought the desired development to our community. It is time for a new direction, a new vision,” he added.

Mr Adams said their opponent shamefully appear after 8 years of neglect and accused Andrew Dari chiwitey of being the reason their road is not constructed.

Addressing party faithfuls the ward coordinator Mr Adams said they are of a very firm belief that their massive turn-up at the program is born out of love and dedication to the course of the NDC towards the December 7 elections.

“Reclaiming the Jelinkon community come 7th December, 2024 after several years, history is about to be made yet again. It may not be easy, the road may appear muddy and scary, we may have experienced magical moments, but believe you me, the journey has just started toward winning the Jelinkon community both in the presidential and parliamentary race”, he noted.

The MP for Sawla Tuna Kalba constituency Hon Andrew chiwitey Dari said they will not be received again saying NPP is a Vagla party in this year’s elections.

He said they accused him not developing vagla community but have asked that in soma, Jentilpe, Senyeri, Nakwabi and Jelinkon are all communities that he had projects there.

The MP again mentioned Tuna, Nahari, Kunfusi, Dabori among other non Birifor communities that he sent development.

The Deputing Ranking Member of Parliament Works and Housing said he has only 5% district assembly common fund with all these achievements including employment opportunities , organizing mock and mathematical set for all BECE students for almost 8 years.

“I want you to ask them with the 95% what have they done before they talk about me”, he asked.

Other dignitaries including the young professionals forum, cadres, Savannah Region deputy youth organizer the constituency vice chairman among other took their turns and spoke on the need to return the NDC to political power.

The MP for Bole with Hon.Andrew Dari Chiwitey donated logistics including T-shirts, among other party paraphernalia and sets of Jerseys and football to the Jelinkon community.
