Jaksally Development Organization poised to empower persons with disabilities .

Mr. Jeremiah Seidu, the Executive Director of Jaksally Development Organization, a Bole based NGO has indicated that as part of their activities for the year,they are determined to empower various persons living with disabilities within the Bole municipality.

Mr. Jeremiah added that they are looking for partnerships in that support and today what they are doing is a need assessment for the people living with different abilities in the Bole Municipality.

“We want to pilot something in the Bole Municipality and so we are doing an initial entry, an initial assessment and an initial brain storming, because if you head them one of them was saying that most support that comes from development agencies to them are prescribed he said”

The Executive Director, also noted that they don’t want to prescribe a support for them and that’s why Jaksally Development Organization is talking to them to see what is really the need to and how they will handle it if they can get that support for them.

Mr. Jeremiah again emphasize that it is one of their project that is development proposal, concept development and so we want to work with them so that if they get the support for them.

Mr. Salifu Adama, the president of Ghana Blind Union of the Savannah Region stated that they blessed to have Mr. Seidu Jeremiah to gather all disabled persons in Bole to educate them on how Person With Disability (PWD) they can also manage their selves.

“So we looked at issues like income generation activities, mobility for person with disability so I am edging all person with disability to visit the resource center and take forms to fill so that it will benefit all of us, he said”
